| As a minister, I decided to preach through the book of Ephesians. Because I tend to preach with a more exegetical style, I was very interested in having a commentary that examined the history of the text and gave practical use for today. This commentary accomplished all of this and more. Yes, there were times when I felt that Snodgrass's application was perhaps not for what I was looking. However, the most significant part to me was exegetically handling the Word of God.
