Overview Christian Music?s premiere Latin/Christian band returns with their first all-Spanish recording entitled Con Poder (With Power). The album was produced by noted Latin producer Carlos Sosa and recorded in the band?s hometown of Austin, TX. Con Poder combines traditional Latino Christian anthems arranged by Salvador as well as re-recordings of a few favorites from the first two Salvador albums.
Like the growing number of Hispanic churches in the US, Con Poder is full of energy and life. The songs on this album explode with rhythm and passion; trumpets, congas and lead-singer Nic Gonzales? superb vocals make Con Poder truly remarkable.

There voices are calming, and their use of instruments in different musical styles is exceptional. It's not cheesy like some other Spanish Christian recordings. Almost all of the songs on this CD are also on their newer best hits album Que Tan Lejos Esta el Cielo, some as a live performance version.
Beautiful Sep 28, 2004
I love this cd! They've gone back to their roots and have a beautiful spanish sound that lifts up the name of Jesus! I love this band! This is a must have!
Awesome, but needs just a bit more new stuff Feb 12, 2004
Salvador - The name brings up images and sounds that instantly make you want to just get up and groove! The CD is about what I expected, with a few surprises thrown in. Tracks 3 ('La Palabra') and 5 ('Corazon De Oro') truly are jewels, as well as a few others. However, the latter half of the CD are Spanish remakes of their older songs, which is not bad, but I wanted more new stuff. To be fair, this CD did start out as a Spanish-language conversion of their English-language songs, so I guess it was to be expected. Still, that took off a star.
All in all, I was very pleased with this CD. It's rare nowadays to get a CD where all of the tracks are honestly good. Their technical performance is awesome, and this one will be in my car CD player for quite some time. ;)
Latin music with style Dec 30, 2003
It is a must-have. They are an excellent example that God-related music doesn't has to be a copy of another one. Their songs and sound are A+ quality. They know how to play latin music with professionalism, and adding it an inspirational theme.
