Item Description... Overview follow up to the profound message of Crazy Love, Pastor Francis Chan offers a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit's direction in our lives. In the name of the Father, the Son, and ... the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit--the Helper--so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Unfortunately, today's church has admired the gift but neglected to open it. Breakthrough author Francis Chan rips away paper and bows to get at the true source of the church's power--the Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long, and we are reaping the disastrous results. Thorough scriptural support and compelling narrative form Chan's invitation to stop and remember the One we've forgotten, the Spirit of the living God.
Publishers Description
In this workbook companion to "Forgotten God," author Francis Chan reminds us of the true source of the church's power--the Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long, and that without Him, we operate in our own strength, only accomplishing human-sized results. Offering a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit's direction in our lives the workbook is designed to initiate and facilitate both individual study, and small group discussion, interaction and practical application of the message of "Forgotten God." The workbook will stand alone, or can be used alongside the "Forgotten God DVD Study Resource." Francis' thought-provoking teaching makes this a valuable workbook resource for individual study, a seven-week small group study, churches, youth groups, and college campus ministries--and perfect for retreat weekends.

 | Do not miss this Peace from Our Father!! Jun 5, 2010 |
| I first read the life changing book Crazy Love by this same author. I thought nothing could compare...until I read Forgotten God. I have only a couple chapters left but I find myself on here looking to buy more to give them away!! This story I have heard from others as well. The story of reading one or both books, buying as much as you can and then giving them away to people you love. If you are looking for truth and love and Peace beyond what this world offers, then please, don't miss this chance to discover they way God has planned our lives to be. Joyful, peaceful, fearless, and powerful! PRAISE GOD!! And thank you to Francis Chan for obeying God and writing these books!Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God | | | | Inspiring and Heartfelt Read Jun 4, 2010 |
| Though this book doesn't live up to the previous one by Francis Chan (Crazy Love), the heart of the writer is still there and his message still rings true. There are a few areas of, what I felt were over-simplifications perhaps, but all in all, it was a worthwile read, and I'm glad I picked it up. You can read this one in a day or two--it's quick and easy and anyone can enjoy it. | | | | Remembering the Forgotten God Apr 1, 2010 |
