The Lightkeeper's Daughter by Colleen Coble is about a young woman, Addie Sullivan, who grew up on a remote island in California. Her life is turned upside down when a long-lost uncle finds her and reveals that her parents are not her biological parents. She wants to find her family so he hires her to work as a governess to her nephew, Edward North. She turns to Lieutenant John North for help finding out what really happened to her mother years ago. As Addie and John get closer to the truth, danger threatens them and their happiness, but Addies knows that God will see them through and help them find the truth they are seeking.
This was my first book to read by Colleen Coble and I really enjoyed the story. She was able to keep the mystery going until the end without the reader figuring out what happened next. The Lightkeeper's Daughter reminds us to turn to God when things are hard or we are frustrated and he will see us through. I would definitely recommend this book and author to others.
