He loves the music and the characters in addition to learning about America by listening to the words of the songs and listening to the person narrate American history in easy to understand words. | My two kids, ages 6 and 8, really enjoy this DVD. A cartoon dog named Stars and a cat named Stripes travel with their guide Rudy the Bald Eagle to see famous landmarks around the U.S. There's lots of classic american music ("Home on the Range", "Yankee Doodle", "Grand Old Flag", etc.) and plenty of trivia for the kids to soak up.
